Lionel World
Named “Lionel World,” these comics / illustrations serve to educate seniors and their families on various aspects of ageing. In these illustrations, we see discussions between a social gerontologist who is also the pet mom and her dog, Lionel. Additionally, Lionel works in the skilled nursing home as a therapy dog, comforting the elderly with his presence and wagging tail. As a therapy dog, Lionel encounters various challenges in his role, prompting him to seek clarification from his pet mom through questions. His social gerontologist mother then provides answers to his queries, helping him navigate his duties effectively. Each segment provides a concise description of a different ageing aspect accompanied by illustrations crafted by renowned Indian cartoonist, Prakash Shetty.
